On behalf of the Local organizing committee I would like to welcome you all to the 7th Pan African Burn Society congress which will be held at Desalegn Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 6th to 9th June, 2017.

The conference theme "Burn Care in Africa: The journey so far" is a timely one as it helps us reflect on challenges of burn care in our continent and plan ways of improvement in the future. It will be an exciting forum where inspired people from all corners of Africa and the world meet and share experiences.

The weather in Addis Ababa during the conference period is rainy but the temperature will be around 26 C during the day and 11 C overnight.

 

The ideal tourist attraction in Addis Ababa is the National Museum which houses a variety of natural and historical artifacts including Lucy!

 

As Addis Ababa is the 3rd city after New York and Geneva to host many UN agencies and offices, the environment is very accommodating for people from different cultures and cultural sensitivity is not a major issue.
